If you think a direct response ad is a sales pitch, you are absolutely right. Great advertising should be salesmanship, and it should be salesmanship in print, multiplied a thousand fold. Instead of talking to one prospect you're able to talk to thousands, all at the same time. Your advertising is just another person you should always look at it this way. Any other way will only waste your hard-earned assets. You should put into the ad everything that a first class salesperson would say to convince a prospect to buy. Of course it should be an honest and ethical salesperson's sale pitch. The ad has to tell prospects every reason why they should purchase your goods and services.
